If you do not already have a psychiatrist or therapist, this opportunity is available for BrotolocNorth clients in the Eau Claire area at our out-patient clinic. Just let us know, and we’ll arrange the appointments and transportation for you.

Dr. Michael J. Murray - Psychiatrist
Available by appointment only
Dr. Murray earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire and his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. In 1992, He completed his psychiatry residency at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Boston and later obtained his certification to specialize in addictions and chemical dependency. Besides operating his own practice, he also contracts for various clinics throughout northwest Wisconsin. He has worked as a psychiatrist at BrotolocNorth since 1998.
Karen Garnett, MS LPC - Therapist
Available Monday through Friday
Karen earned her bachelor's degree in psychology at University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire and her master's degree in Guidance and Counseling-Mental Health at University of Wisconsin - Stout. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Wisconsin, she provides therapy for clients in individual and group settings. She has worked as a therapist at BrotolocNorth since 1997.
Sherry Sorensen, Registered Nurse
Available Monday through Friday
Sherry received her bachelor's degree in nursing from Viterbo College in 1998 and became a licensed Registered Nurse in 1990. She has extensive experience working in both hospital and community settings. Most notably, she worked for Rusk County Health and Human Services as a Public Health Nurse and RN Behavioral Health Case Manager. She has worked as a registered nurse at BrotolocNorth since 2008.
